Studio 42’s full day class is a full-immersion jewellery workshop that you’ll never forget!

You will have the opportunity to thoughtfully design and create a bespoke piece of silver jewellery from start to finish. It’s an interactive class full of learning and laughing. You’ll even produce something memorable to take away.

Make yourself at home in Studio 42, and leave with a piece (or multiple pieces) of silver jewellery you can be proud of. Plus learn new jewellery-making skills and leave with heaps of inspiration to keep you crafting from home. 

In this full-day course, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to set stones or try more challenging technical skills to create a custom piece of jewellery that you’ll cherish forever.  

Students are encouraged to bring along some jewellery designs that inspire you before coming to this class. 

  • Teacher and professional contemporary jewellery designer, Jess will be there to lead you on a creative adventure.

    When you arrive, get inspired by all the jewellery in the studio shop before doing a quick trial project to get comfortable using the tools and equipment. We cover techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering and polishing. After our trial project, we’ll have a cuppa and start looking for inspiration for our next projects.

    With your new skills from your trial project, you will then have the freedom to design and develop a piece (or multiple pieces) of silver jewellery.

    Jess will be on hand to offer you personalised assistance with the execution of your individual design goals, instructing you on any additional required skills, such as disc cutting, roller printing, doming, texturing or blackening the metal.

  • Every skill level is welcome to join this full day class; from complete beginners to seasoned pros, everyone can make Studio 42 their own. If you have previous skills, you are more than welcome to work independently at your level. This full day class is the perfect amount of time to make wedding rings should you wish.

    • Six hours of instruction

    • Ten grams of sustainable silver + basic materials

    • Unlimited use of workshop tools

    • Hands-on assistance

    • Small class sizes - up to 4 people

    • This class is perfect for making something meaningful, like wedding rings. However, if you’d prefer dedicated one-on-one attention or are working on a more advanced project, we recommend booking a private class.

    • Ability to request another day if you don't mind joining a group class in the morning.

    • This class runs from 9-4 pm with a 1 hour lunch break included so allow 7 hours for this.

    • Min Age is 16

    • There is plenty of free parking on site, and tea, coffee, and cold drinks are provided. You’re welcome to bring a packed lunch, or head to the Canyon Café and Bar just a few minutes away for a more relaxed lunch break.
